Some useful info, but hated the author's tone about the actual mating process when he refers to eager females as "hussies" and "wenches" but of course the males are merely "eager".
This is by far the best breeding and whelping book I have ever come across. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I am a breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and when I began, this book was worth it's price in gold. Very helpful with the many "problems" that can arise with breeding and delivery and care of Dam and puppies.

I read about this book on a breeder website. I purchased my copy right before my basset hound was to give birth. It was help but I would have like the book to give more diagrams or pictures. I would use the book again for a future litter but I also used other resources to help with the process.
This is an exceptional book on breeding dogs. It's well written and easy to understand. I intend to use this book as one of the guidelines for when I breed my bitch.
Very helpful, it really gave me the knowledge to know that my female was going to deliver early. Also it helped me know that my puppies were going to be alright.
This book is one of the BEST for those getting ready to breed. I've read it more than once and prior to each time that I've bred. GREAT book.
