It is just a book and not a peer reviewed publication. If it was then many of the "facts" presented by the author would never be published. Maybe the author should write a sequel based on information discovered through various kill spill research programs.

I bought this book because I had a lot of questions about the oil spill; plus I didn't like BP. I recommend the book to anyone who wants the truth about the incident. I discovered that everything I had heard or read, on TV, the net, from the Administration and from BP was false. Adding dispersant doesn't get rid of the oil, it simply disperses it over a wider area. BP had plenty of warning about trouble but chose to ignore it. DP had no backup plan; and still doesn't. Fishing and crabbing businesses have been devastated and little has been done to help. Large oil plumes still exist beneath the surface. The administration has said BP will pickup all costs but very little has been done. And deep water drilling still goes on.

Have given this to my grandson to read and he has commented it is equal to the first book the author has written on the greed and grab for power of the Oil Barons, past and current. I read her other book and learned many things they never taught in high school or college. I would recommend both of her books.

Great piece of classic reporting that lets you know what really happened.

This book is very troubling. It details the corporate greed, lies and misstatements of BP and the American government's complicity in covering up the extent and damage caused by the oil spill. Criminal charges should be brought against all those responsible and the Federal officils who lied should be disciplined. Must reading!

I feel as though I need to be informed about this disastrous oil spill. I am only in the beginning of the book, but it is very well written.

Antonia Juhasz really knows her stuff. In this book, she ensures that the effects of this disaster are known to the world. She provides an outlet for those impacted to share their stories, the real stories that you don't necessarily hear or read in the news, and you are left with a much more thorough understanding about the environmental damage that occurred. If you want to know what REALLY happened in regards to the Gulf oil spill, read this book.

I watched 1:30 of stupendous fact-sharing by the author and two other experts on CSpan2 yesterday and came here to look at the book itself.
